Something stupid

I know I stand in line

Until you think you have the time

To spend an evening with me

And if we go someplace to dance

I know that there’s a chance

You won’t be leaving with me

Then afterwards we drop into a quiet little place

And have a drink or two

And then I go and spoil it all

By saying something stupid

Like I love you

I can see it in your eyes

You still despise the same old lines

You heard the night before

And though it’s just a line to you

for me it’s true

And never seemed so right before

I practice every day to find some clever

Lines to say

To make the meaning come true

But then I think I’ll wait until the evening

Gets late

And I’m alone with you

The time is right

Your perfume fills my head

The stars get red

And the night’s so blue

And then I go and spoil it all

By saying something stupid

Like I love you

I love you...

Evaluation

This week we've the last opportunity to share our experiences, ideas, feelings...

Now is time to evaluate the blog experiment.

On the one hand, the positive aspects:

- You can write when you want

- You can write about everything

- People can share their experiences with you

- It's anonymous

On the other hand,

- It's quite difficult sometimes to find a good topic to talk about

- If you don't have a computer it won't be a good way of learning

- It'd be difficult if you aren't familiarized with computers

- When you are working all the day with computers you are fed up with them.

I've tried to write posts and comments so often. However, sometimes it has been impossible (work, university...) but I think I've learned. I express myself fluently (not as good as I would but better than 9 months ago).

Writing has been the failed subject of my English learning. I know, I haven't pass the subject but I feel more confident writing now.

Pesto alla genovese

Spring weather make me think about the basil plant and, of course, about the classical "Pesto alla genovese". It's a refreshing sauce and easy to do.

Ingredients:

- Basil leaves

- Olive oil

- Parmesan cheese

- Pine nuts

If you have a blender, put the basil, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and olive oil together and blend until you have a smooth purée.

It's more traditional If you do it with a large pestle and mortar.

More than a trip

I've been in some countries (all of them in Europe). I like travelling, going far away. Sometimes it isn't possible and I go to nearby places.

I'm planning my trips. All the arrangements are made for three of them: Dublin, l'Estartit and Granada.

Well, really, this Thursday I'm going to Dublin with some of my classmates. We wanted to improve our English and our cultural learning. On Friday some of us are going to visit the coast with a guided tour.

Have you ever been there? What can we visit in Dublin?

I think their English will be easier than the American's. Usually I don't have a lot of difficulties understanding English but sometimes with the American films I can't understand a word.

But I don't know what I'll do on holidays. It depends on if I'm working or not, if I passed all the exams at the university, a surgical operation I'm waiting for and other aspects.

I want to go somewhere in Spain just for a week because I don't know If I'll have more time. Can you help me?

Identity

We started it some time ago like a "homework" but this concept has been changing during all this months. Nowadays, it's an entertainment. We share our likes, dislikes, our daily experiences, thoughts, recipes...

Step by step we are discovering who is who in this game. Some of us were discovered by chance, others shown who they were intentionally, some give us clues and others we only imagine who are they.

However, I've to admit I don't understand people who show us who are they because some of the magic go away. I'd prefer giving you some clues but things happen.

I'm sure almost all know who am I but just in case you don't...

Is it true?

My father told me a story. I don't know if I can say that's an uncanny story, but it results strange and I haven't hear nothing else about it.

There it goes:

An Irish couple adopted an African baby not long time ago. They processed all the documents and this baby was finally an Irish citizen.

The Irish woman realizes she was pregnant and they decided to give back this poor baby!!! It's repugnant!!!

But it doesn't finish in this sad fact. This baby is nowadays in an orphanage and she/he can't go back to her/his country because he/she is an Irish citizen. And in this African country some families are waiting to adopt him/her but they can't, she/he is Irish.

All this is repugnant!!! I couldn't believe this story when I listened but I'm not sure if it's true or not. Can someone help me?
