La castañada or Halloween???!!!
This night it's the night of ths spirits.
The traditional way to celebrate it is eating chesnuts, panellets and drinking moscatell (an alcoholic drink).
But nowadays with all this globalization, we don't only eat and drink these. Step by step the American way to celebrate this night is being more attractive to people.
So, to be cool we have to have a pumpkin with a terrorific expression at home. And, of course, we have to be dressing up like a witch, a ghost, an skeleton or something like that.
However, the new match Castañada vs Halloween is going to start soon.
Enjoy this night of magic!!!!

Yes! You are right and I think we would be happy enough to celebrate these days as we have always done! with chestnuts and "penellets"!
I think it's a matter of money, money, money. Excuses to globalize culture. We should refuse that!

For sure La Castañada. Do Americans celebrate “La Castañada”??? Of course no, SO, why do we have to celebrate Halloween?
I think we have to preserve our ancient customs.

You’re right! Maybe I’m not so cool but I have never had a pumpkin at home, yet. For the moment I prefer eating chestnuts and sweet potatoes.
Anyway, I hope you had enjoyed that different night.

I completely agree with you. To my mind, it's only a economic trouble. It's a sort of way that make us more consumer and materialistic people. The stores find any excuse to promote the shopping. Damn money!
